Tasty Mexican Sweets

We have the right desserts for you, whether you're having a fiesta and want an authentic dessert table, need to bring a unique sweet treat to a get-together, or just want a great Mexican meal finale.

Flan, a creamy dessert covered with caramel, has been around since Roman times. This now-iconic dessert was brought to Mexico by the Spanish in the 1500s, along with many other Spanish dishes.

The term "tres leches" refers to the three types of milk (evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream) that are integral to the dessert's signature flavour.

Due to their similarities in preparation, churros are sometimes referred to as Mexican doughnuts. To make this delicious delicacy, cinnamon sugar is piped from a bag fitted with a star tip

then the sticks are fried till golden and rolled in cinnamon sugar. This is then served with dulce de leche or Mexican chocolate sauce for dipping

Use this luxurious chocolate sauce as a topping for ice cream, or to dip churros or doughnuts. It goes well with a spoon or, let's be honest, some fresh fruit.
