Ingredients.Three tablespoons olive oil.
1 chopped onion1 minced onion.
3/4 cup split marinara.1/2 cup part-skim mozzarella, chopped or shredded.
1/2 cup breadcrumbs.1 teaspoon seasoning.
1 teaspoon oregano.1/2" salt.1/2" pepper.1 lb chicken ground.Part-skim mozzarella slices.4 toasted buns.
Directions.Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet on medium-high. Stir in onion; cook 3 minutes. Cook garlic 1 minute. Cool off.
1/4 cup marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, bread crumbs, spices, and onions. Mix chicken well. Form four 1/2-inch-thick patties using damp hands.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in same skillet over medium heat. Cook burgers 4-5 minutes each side till 165°. Cover and heat 1-2 minutes to melt mozzarella.
Top buns with 1/2 cup marinara sauce, Parmesan cheese, and basil, if preferred.
